You will be guiding individuals on a journey to discover their gifts, talents, and strengths with the goal of meaningful employment!! 
 
The Employment Specialist will enhance the JobSource Team’s effectiveness by providing job research, development, and placement services to individuals in the community.
 
Reporting directly to the Director of Community Employment, the Employment Specialist provides assistance to individuals referred by various funding sources for career exploration and job placement in the community.  The Employment Specialist assists the JobSource Team to meet established goals and objectives for the clients we serve.
 
The Employment Specialist must be creative and enjoy working in a mission driven environment, results-driven and community oriented.  The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.  The Employment Specialist will have the ability to work independently and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. This position is for LaPorte County, Indiana.

  • Must possess valid Driver's license, with a driving record acceptable to Opportunity Enterprises, Inc.’s insurance carrier.
