GOEVIN, the Michigan City (MC) Sustainability Commission, MC Planning Department, MC Redevelopment Commission, and Drive Clean Indiana are thrilled to host a GOEVIN: DRIVES event on Saturday, October 26 at the Michigan City Farmers Market (125 W. 8th St. Michigan City, IN 46360).
Registration is open now here. We invite EV owners to submit their vehicles for static display consideration.
The Michigan City GOEVIN: DRIVES (GO Electric Vehicle Indiana: Discover, Ride, Inspire Vehicle Electrification Series) event will be held from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. with an EV station ribbon cutting by the Michigan City Chamber of Commerce. GOEVIN will also be featuring a variety of EV displays, EV infrastructure funding updates, free GOEVIN giveaways, and the opportunity to test drive some of the latest EV models on the market provided by local dealerships.
GOEVIN: DRIVES is set to tour the Hoosier state's Municipal Planning Organizations. At each GOEVIN DRIVES tour stop, attendees can expect to discover the future of EV transportation within Indiana's MPO's and test drive an array of passenger and fleet EVs that can be fitted to address your municipal needs. There will also be the opportunity to learn from expert-led sessions on funding opportunities available today to help drive cost-effective and sustainable choices.
Drive Clean Indiana supports the nation’s energy and economic security by building partnerships to advance affordable domestic transportation fuels, energy-efficient mobility systems, and other fuel-saving technologies and practices. The coalition’s mission thrives through education and outreach, training, grant writing, funding acquisition, project management, and the development of stakeholder partnerships.
The coalition will host its highly-anticipated 2024 REACT (Renewable Energy & Advanced Clean Transportation) Expo on November 19-20, 2024 at Blue Chip Casino's Stardust Event Center (777 Blue Chip Drive) in Michigan City. The event will encompass two full days of insightful breakout sessions, networking opportunities with industry leaders and elected officials, and a showcase of the latest sustainable transportation technologies. The program on November 19th will feature a workshop hosted in partnership with the National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL) for EPAct fleets.
