La Porte County Main Library-Reading Wi-Fi Garden

At the celebration, you will meet Alex Ann Allen, the talented artist who created the mural. There will also be remarks by Mayor Tom Dermody; La Porte County Library's Executive Director, Fonda Owens; Janet Bloch from Lubeznik Center for the Arts and Eric DeWald, president of the Health Foundation of La Porte who funded the project. 

The mural came about through a facilitation of public meetings by Lubeznik Center for the Arts, the library's staff and board, the artist and members of the community. Designed with the building's past and current use in mind, it was also influenced by the architecture of the building and the broader themes of creativity and innovation.
