Boys & Girls Clubs of La Porte County (BGCLPC)
invites the community to attend its third annual Blue Bash gala on Friday,
October 11. After two successful years at Blue Chip Casino, Hotel & Spa, the
organization will mix things up in 2024 with a new location – the La Porte
Civic Auditorium.
Blue Bash will begin at 6:00 PM and feature
“dinner all night,” a cash bar and entertainment by Emcee David Greer in
partnership with DJ Dennis Waller. Attendees are encouraged to wear anything
they feel comfortable in – jeans, sequins or a ballgown – as long as it’s blue!
Past years’ guests have been spotted in head-to-toe cobalt, navy and
aquamarine.
Tickets and sponsorships can be purchased now
at www.bgclpc.org/bluebash/. Discounted
early bird rates are available through Friday, September 13. With more than 175 seats claimed to
date, the organization is hoping for a sellout crowd.
BGCLPC is a La Porte County youth development
nonprofit offering afterschool Clubs at 8 locations across Michigan City, La
Porte, Westville and Kingsford Heights, plus 2 popular full-day summer camp
programs. 2024 will see an expansion of its afterschool programming to the Rolling
Prairie community. All BGCLPC services are currently provided at no cost to
ensure they are accessible to the children and families who need them the most.
The organization is on track to serve a record 900 Club members in 2024.
“As our organization grows, so does its
geographic reach and impact,” says Michelle Shirk, BGCLPC Chief Executive
Officer. “By the end of this year, we will be providing free afterschool programming
to children in four different area school districts. Blue Bash is our largest
annual fundraiser, and a fun way to help keep our programs free for local
youth. We hope you can join us as we celebrate our Clubs with friends and
supporters from all over La Porte County!”
Boys & Girls Clubs of La Porte County is
a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, a nationwide affiliation of more
than 5,000 autonomous Club organizations. Questions about Blue Bash or BGCLPC’s
