ShareTweetReturn to ListingPurdue University Northwest to exhibit student and faculty research accomplishments through three symposiumsHammond, IN04/15/2024 10:05 AMPurdue University Northwest (PNW) welcomes the public to see students and faculty members’ scholarly activities on display through three upcoming research symposiums in April on the Hammond campus. PNW will host its annual Days of Discovery on April 18 at its Hammond campus, 2200 169th Street, Hammond, IN. Days of Discovery celebrates and showcases PNW student and faculty members’ academic excellence through activities such as poster presentations that document their scholarly findings. Attendees will also be able to hear from Michelle Thompson, associate professor of Planetary Materials at Purdue West Lafayette, who will serve as the symposium's keynote speaker. Thompson will present on how asteroid samples provide a window to the early history of our solar system. Attendance is free and all session time and location information can be found at pnw.edu/discover. The following week on April 25, PNW’s College of Technology will host its annual Technology Day Showcase from noon to 4 p.m. PNW’s campus community, prospective students, PNW alumni and industry professionals are encouraged to attend and see more than 30 student research and capstone projects demonstrating academic excellence and innovation in technology disciplines. Student presentations will be on display in the main concourse of the Student Union and Library Building, 2200 169th Street, Hammond, IN. Attendance is free and more information can be found at pnw.edu/technology-day. PNW fourth-year students in the School of Engineering will present their capstone research projects during Senior Design 2024. PNW students completing their plans of study in different Engineering disciplines will deliver presentations including a substantial written report and a formal oral presentation. Students will present posters on April 23 and oral presentations on April 26. All presentations will take place at PNW’s Hammond campus, 2200 169th Street, Hammond, IN.
