Discover the District is a collaborative kickoff event to the summer season in Michigan City. It is intended to connect businesses, community members, and area visitors to experience the Michigan City businesses in the Uptown Arts District.

• Discover the District is open to the public.
• There is no cost to businesses to participate.
• Businesses are not required to be a Chamber member.
• Participating businesses are encouraged to offer a special menu item, discounted purchase, or other deal to customers valid for the duration of the event.
• Storefront signs will be provided to participating businesses to showcase their participation in the event and advertise what they will be offering that day.
• Customers are encouraged to bring their receipts from purchases made at participating businesses to the Uptown Social After Party. One receipt is one entry into prize raffles.
