Event hours are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m., and the registration fee for exhibited cars is $15.00 per car. The event is open to cars that were manufactured in 1989 and earlier. All cars will be on display on the Museum grounds. Admission to the car show is $5.00 per car load. The La Porte County Historical Society Museum is located at 2405 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana. On permanent display is the Kesling Automobile Collection of over 30 antique and classic cars, including a Duesenberg, Auburn, Cord, Tucker, DeLorean, and others. The museum is rated a “Gem Site” by AAA. Regular museum hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 - 4:30. The Museum is handicapped accessible.... The event will include performances by Chicago Lyric Opera artists Kimberly Jones, Maia Surace, Cornelius Johnson and others who are returning to Friendship Botanic Gardens. The program will include arias from Mozart’s “Don Giovanni,” “Puccini Madame Butterfly” and Broadway favorites “Porgy and Bess,” “42nd Street,” “Showboat” and for the first time, “Hamilton!”General admission tickets are available on Eventbrite for $45. A 1947 study found that Indiana authors ranked second to New York in the number of bestsellers produced in the previous 40 years.
