Members Advantage Credit Union Donates $5,000 to Boys & Girls Clubs of LaPorte County
Members Advantage Credit Union (MACU) proudly donated $5,000 to
the Boys & Girls Clubs of LaPorte County to support their efforts to serve
the community's youth. The donation will help fund vital programming and the
development of their much-anticipated new facility in Michigan City.
During the check presentation, Michelle Shirk, CEO of the Boys
& Girls Clubs of LaPorte County, expressed gratitude for the contribution
and emphasized its significance. "This generous donation from Members
Advantage Credit Union directly supports our mission to provide kids in our
community with safe, enriching places to go when school is not in session.
Their gift will help us make our vision of a new standalone Clubhouse a reality
and ensure we are able to provide even more opportunities for local youth to
thrive."
The Boys & Girls Clubs of LaPorte County has been a pillar of
the community, providing after-school and summer programs that foster academic
success, character development, and healthy lifestyles. After several years of
expansion, they now operate 10 different Clubs across Michigan City, La Porte,
Westville, Kingsford Heights, and Rolling Prairie. Their new facility in
Michigan City will allow them to serve even more children and families in the
area. However, additional funding is still required to complete the project.
Bob Havens, Executive Vice President of Members Advantage Credit
Union, highlighted the importance of supporting local initiatives.
"Investing in our community's youth is an investment in our future. We are
honored to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of LaPorte County and their
incredible work. This new facility will be a cornerstone of opportunity for
future generations."
Members Advantage Credit Union is committed to building stronger
communities through financial support, education, and service initiatives.
