Sister spots The Brewery Lodge & Supper Club and Zorn Brew Works are supporting Dig the Dunes and Save the Dunes by hosting upcoming events. The annual Monarch Music Fest celebrates the journey and migration of the Monarch Butterfly from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday Sept. 15 at The Brewery Lodge & Supper Club, 5727 N 600 W.
The fest includes live music by Andre Detti and Chicken Dolphin, a silent auction, yard games, food and drinks. This year’s menu is a Mexican Fiesta with a taco bar and one drink per ticket. Additional drinks, beer, wine and cocktails will be available to purchase.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Save the Dunes’ work to protect the Indiana Dunes and Lake Michigan as well as Save the Dunes’ efforts to protect hard-working pollinators, such as the Monarch Butterfly.
“This is one of my favorite events of the year where our members and supporters join us for an afternoon of music, games, and fun for the whole family,” said Save the Dunes Executive Director Betsy Maher.
Save the Dunes works to build and protect pollinator habitat across Northwest Indiana. In 2019, Save the Dunes joined forces with Indiana Dunes National Park, Shirley Heinze Land Trust, and the Northern Indiana Public Service Company—with funds awarded by the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative—to improve up to 367 acres per year and protect pollinators by planting native plant species and removing invasive species.
Comfort Food Festival
The Mac & Cheese Fest supports Dig the Dunes for another year of cheesy deliciousness as local restaurants and vendors take on the classic comfort dish.
Join the tasting, fun and music from 1 to 4 pm Sunday Sept. 29 on the street between Zorn Brew Works, 605 E. 9th St., and Barrelhouse the Venue, 113 York St.
Cash bar will be provided by Zorn Brew Works with live music performed by Johnny V, Tastee Treats and WYISIWG.
VIP tickets are $55 and include event entry an hour early at noon, reusable Mac & Cheese bowl and seating at Barrelhouse the Venue for the live music. General admission tickets are $30, kids under 15 and vegetarian tickets are $20.
