The Leadership Institute at Purdue Northwest (PNW) invites community members to join current participants and alumni of the Leadership Northwest Indiana program in an engaging discussion with regional leaders from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, at the Leadership Institute at Purdue Northwest, 6100 Southport Road, Portage.

The first Leadership in Action Seminar Series event will begin with lunch, followed by a panel discussion featuring: Thomas Dermody, mayoral candidate for the city of La Porte; Jerome Prince, expected to be mayor-elect of the city of Gary; Karen Tallian, Indiana State Senator; and Joseph Stahura, mayor of the city of Whiting. The discussion will be facilitated by Ragen Hatcher, Indiana State Representative, who also serves as a clinical instructor in the PNW College of Business.

Leadership Northwest Indiana (LNI), one of the signature programs of The Leadership Institute, is a redesigned 12-month program for leaders to help them identify areas for growth with time to intentionally practice their skills. The goal is that each participant will become a more authentic, vibrant leader who can then share his/her gifts with communities across Northwest Indiana.
