Stuff A Bus! September 6th
Michigan City, IN
08/21/2014 02:45 PM
COME JOIN THE FUN, as the Michigan City Salvation Army, Al’s Supermarkets, First Trust Credit Union and the Michigan City School Corporation celebrate 11 years of hosting the “STUFF A BUS” food drive for the Salvation Army Food Pantry. On Saturday, September 6th, from 9:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m., volunteers will be stuffing Michigan City School buses with bags of food donated by YOU. Your donation of just $5 can purchase a meat voucher or a bag of groceries for a family in need.  Hunger in America does exist - it exists right here in Michigan City, where over 800 families per month need food.  Sadly our Michigan City food pantry is seriously low and in order to fulfill the needs of so many families, we need your help!”

Now through September 5th, you may make a monetary donation, or donate a non-perishable food item at First Trust’s Michigan City Branch at 950 E. U.S. Highway 20. Then on September 6th stop in to either of Al’s stores to purchase food and/or a meat voucher. Meet radio celebrities from WE-FM 95.9 at Al’s at Karwick, and WIMS-AM 1420 Radio at Al’s on Franklin Street from 9:00 a.m. to Noon, who will be reminding everyone to help make sure that NO ONE in our hometown goes hungry.  For more information, or if you would like to volunteer to help, contact Lieutenants Bill & Taylor Brutto, Head Administrators/Pastors, at the Michigan City Salvation Army at 874-6885, or First Trust Credit Union’s Marketing Department at 877-2290.
