First Trust Credit Union Michigan City Branch, Receives Exemplary Patriotism Award

First Trust Credit Union was honored to receive a Certificate of Commendation, in Recognition of Exemplary Patriotism in the display of the Flag of the United States of America, at their Michigan City branch by the National Society Sons of the American Revolution. Randall Eckley, Secretary for the Duneland Chapter, presented the commendation to First Trust Credit Union President/CEO Kim Kniola, Chairman of the Board Howard Smith, and Board Member Arnold Bass.
The Indiana Society of the Sons of the American Revolution was established in 1889 and is comprised of male descendants of patriots who supported the cause of American Independence from 1774 through 1783. The organization is dedicated to commemorating and preserving their heritage and the contributions of their ancestors. They also educate the public about the American Revolution and the lives of its patriots, participating in community events and patriotic celebrations.  The Sons of the American Revolution Duneland Chapter meetings are held at 10:30 a.m. Central Time, on the first Saturday of every other month, from February through December. Meetings are held in the second floor meeting room of the Valparaiso Public Library, at 103 Jefferson Street.  For meeting dates/times, or for more information about the organization, contact:
