Welcome, or welcome back for a casual picnic dinner, campfire, and evening of fun to support Dunes Learning Center! Spend a relaxing evening in the Indiana Dunes, tour campus facilities, and sample programs with our naturalists. Models will walk the runway in clothing from Goodwill showcasing the latest fashion trends while guests enjoy hors d’oeuvres and desserts. Kathy Friend, nationally known as a stylist and image consultant and President of the Style and Image Institute, will produce and host the program. Guests are invited to shop in the Goodwill Boutique complete with dressing rooms to find that perfect outfit. Doors open at 3:30 pm for shopping 50% Off in the Goodwill Boutique and the Fashion Show will begin at 5:30 pm. The boutique will re-open at 6:30 pm for more shopping after the show. Tickets are $50.00 and can be purchased online

A spooktacular evening of family fun sponsored by Fifth Third Bank. Kids are invited to wear their Halloween costumes for a night of family-friendly scares set in the winding nature trails of Friendship Botanic Gardens at dusk. Trick or Treat on our Haunted Trails Loop, Face Painting, Crafts/Games, Bonfire, and Up N Smoke will be offering Food and Beverages.

Kids can also check out phase 3 of the ArcelorMittal Children’s Garden, the newly installed arena for interactive natural play experiences created thanks to the support of the ArcelorMittal Corporation.

Scared that you don’t have any plans for Halloween this year? Fly your broomstick on down to the Washington Park Zoo on Saturday, October 20th! Boo at the zoo continues to grow every year and it provides a safe, fun, trick-or-treating environment with loads of candy provided by local community businesses.

Due to the large crowds that traditionally attend Boo at the Zoo, we will offer two sessions to avoid long lines and to ensure safety to the public. The Zoo staff is strongly recommending purchasing tickets in advance since there will be a cut-off of ticket sales once the maximum occupancy is reached.  

Session one: Gates open at 11:30 until 1:30 with trick or treating ending and the zoo closing at 2:00 pm
Session two: Gates opening at 3:30 until 5:30 with trick or treating ending and the zoo closing at 6:00 p.m.

Admission:
Adult Observer - $4.00
Child trick or treater - $5.00 (ages 2-16 years)
Children 1 and under are free
Washington Park Zoo members free
