  • Set up and stock banquet bar with equipment and supplies including but not necessarily limited to glassware, ice, liquor, soft drinks, mixes, and associated supplies.
  • Receive and prepare beverage orders from customers and cocktail servers.
  • Mix alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to memorized standard beverage recipes.

Responsible for an efficient and timely exchange or cash in the form of wagers from guests. This position is responsible for supporting the Sports Betting operation by selling tickets and ensuring the proper payouts are processed.

• Provides prompt, courteous, accurate and overall exceptional service to guests .
• Accepts bets and parlay cards and writes tickets on all sporting events from guests in a professional and courteous manner, utilizing a race and sports computer system.
• Receives sport or parlay tickets from guests and pays guests who present winning tickets and vouchers utilizing a race and sports computer system.
• Maintains and balances a till for use in issuing and redeeming tickets and vouchers including following void procedures and cash handling procedures.
• Maintains a neat and well-stocked window for the next shift .
• Process and maintain accurate transactions and reconciliations .
• Must know all terms and conditions pertaining to sports wagering .
• Must be fully aware of all lines and odds in the Sportsbook .
• Accurately and thoroughly complete any and all requisite Company, federal, state, tax, and/or gaming regulation records and forms.
• Maintain confidentiality of privileged information obtained as a result of normal working procedures.

Walk Manager


  • Responsible for recruitment of volunteer community leaders and training, coaching, and management resulting in the attainment of revenue and team goals.

  • Build relationships with key volunteers, participants, sponsors and community leaders as well as existing and new corporate partners.

  • Responsible for overall Walk to End Alzheimer’s volunteer committee development, team recruitment and retention strategies, budget, timeline, marketing/PR, logistics and best practice implementation.

  • Through volunteer networks, prospect, cultivate and steward Walk to End Alzheimer’s teams, sponsors and walkers to achieve development goals.

  • Execute plan for maximizing team participation to achieve revenue goals by retaining existing teams, attracting new ones from all sectors of the community and by providing fundraising guidance and support.

  • Maintain year-round relationships with key corporate sponsors and constituents to ensure involvement in all relevant chapter activities and recognition opportunities.

  • Work with the volunteer planning committee to organize outreach activities that promote the Alzheimer’s Association mission, including community presentations and corporate engagement opportunities.

  • Ensure Walk to End Alzheimer’s standards are being followed.

  • Responsible for other duties as assigned.

  • Actively participate in learning opportunities for professional growth and self- improvement.



Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 3-5 years of proven experience in recruiting and mobilizing volunteers to achieve goals

  • Preferred peer-to-peer fundraising experience or equivalent sales background

  • Confident, goal-oriented, positive self-starter able to work independently with limited supervision and collaboratively with internal and external partners

  • Demonstrated ability to form and develop corporate relationships and partnerships

  • Ability to manage large numbers of volunteers at different levels of expertise with diplomacy

  • Ability to work with diverse communities and demonstrate inclusion

  • Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory by car. Travel in this case, is considered time spent away from the office, in the community, to fulfil the job goals.

  • While most such travel is same day, occasional overnight travel or air travel may be required. Must have valid driver’s license, access to reliable vehicle, good driving record and proof of automobile insurance.

  • Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as required for the job

  • Ability to bend, stoop, lift and transport up to 25 lbs of materials

  • Strong computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office products and social media; experience with, or ability to rapidly learn, Luminate/Convio software

The historic Barker Mansion lives as a monument of industry, charity, and turn-of-the-century life in Michigan City, highlighting the legacy of the Barker family through interpretive tours and special programs for kids and adults, as well as community event rentals.

Effective immediately, a full-time Director with a proven record of success is sought to oversee the following:


=         confers with the Mayor and the Barker Civic Center Commission to formulate policies and plan overall Center operations

=         develops strategies and initiatives to fulfill mission, increase attendance, and ensure financial stability and growth

=         supervises and assists in the hiring, training and evaluation of staff

=         coordinates volunteer program

=         prepares and approves payroll and attendance records for submission to the Controller’s Office

=         maintains accurate accounts receivable and payable records, banking deposits, and financial information for submission to the Controller’s Office

=         determines and prepares budgeting requirements for the year

=         prepares monthly and annual reports listing attendance, revenues and expenses

=         directs all bookings and scheduling of events held at Barker Civic Center

=         plans, organizes and implements interpretive programs based on current research in education and interpretation, appealing to various interests in order to maximize utilization of facilities

=         ensures that buildings, grounds, formal gardens and parking areas are properly maintained at all times

=         all directions and restrictions on items on loan are adhered to as required



=         oversees the maintenance, security and care of the archives and artifacts in the Center and on the grounds

=         maintains cleanliness of archives and artifacts in the Center

=         notifies owner of all items on loan before any restoration or conservation is performed

=         maintains database of inventory of all items on loan from the Barker Welfare Foundation

=         maintains a cordial relationship with The Barker Welfare Foundation

Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred in related fields such as museum studies, history, hospitality, tourism management, non-profit management or etc; at least 5 years of documented professional experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
