Friendship Botanic Gardens is honored to host a celebration of the legacy of Polish Composer and Statesman Ignacy Jan Paderewski. The Polish Heritage Association of Michigan City will dedicate a bronze bust of Paderewski created by artist Dora Natella. The bust will adorn the historic Polish Heritage Garden plot, one of the newly revitalized plots that make up Friendship Botanic Gardens - an historic 105 acre botanical sanctuary featuring formal gardens and natural habitats along the banks of Trail Creek. This event is free to the public and seating is limited, guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs to enjoy the event. A social hour with refreshments will follow the official dedication.
